Recently, I was busy renovating my BTL in Nottinghill. My previous long-term tenants had occupied the flat for over 7 years, and I thought it was definitely time to give the place a fresh coat of paint and to add a few attractive features.

Obviously, while toying around with ideas on how to re-create my space, I headed over to Pinterest to get some inspiration and wanted to share with you three really amazing interior design trends for 2018 that I want to try (after seeing some pretty epic

pictures) on some future serviced accommodation!

Spa Bathroom

Okay, who wouldn’t want to create a spa bathroom in their own home? Yes, please!

The Spa Bathroom doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. While there will be an initial investment in a jacuzzi or deep bathtub, the rest is really about creating the right tones of colour on the walls (read earthy tones such as sage and washed out charcoal) and keeping things minimal.

Patterned Plants

This is probably the cheapest way to give your room a new lease on life… literally. Having plants not only has numerous health benefits but they are so diverse.

It’s easy to create a space for plants in every room in the house and most gardening centres will have professionals there who are able to assist you in choosing the right plant for each room of your house.

Take for example your bathroom. Have you got space to add a shelf or two? Why not add a few hanging plants over your bathtub to give you that tropical feeling while soaking on a weekend evening?

Corners are another great place to add some plants. Choose some lush green leaves for your living room and pair that with a free-standing lamp to illuminate it even further.

Show-stopping doors

Okay, okay… This may sound like too drastic a step for your tastes but why not bring the outside of your house a bit of “interior design”?

Depending on your neighborhood and type of building, a pair of neon painted doors may be just what you need to cheer you up after a long day at work. Not your style? Why not try geometric patterns or even stripes? It’s time to go decadent, why not? We only live once!
