For new entrepreneurs it isn’t always plain sailing, but I’ve learnt a few things to keep you going along the way!

  1. You DO NOT need to work 20 hours a day to keep your business moving forward. Work whilst you are feeling energise and excited, when that stops put your computer down.
  2. It’s OK to switch weekend days with week days, providing that your working week doesn’t become 7 days long – everyone needs break.
  3. Nap Time is sacred – You heard me, if you are tired then sleep it off. You are running your own business for the perks right?!
  4. Your actual voice is better than any blog post – that’s right get out there and talk.
  5. Believe that your brand is changing the world, on the tough days it’s then worth getting up for!
  6. You aren’t going to have gains every day. But that time 50 people like your insta post, go out and celebrate like theres no tomorrow!
  7. Waitrose does free coffee with a Waitrose card and a banana only const 25p. Nutrition all morning long!
  8. Yes, it’s absolutely fine if you can only market your brand on the back of your laptop. Why else would you bother going to the expense of working in public places?
  9. Virtual Assistants are what make the world go around, if you can only even afford 1 hour a week, it’s worth it for the enormous help they give.
  10. Answering emails all day is the work of the devil. It’s OK to shut them down and get on with important projects… and close…

I hope this helps, or at least takes the pressure off a little bit. Being a new entrepreneur can be super daunting but also the most fun job you will ever have. Enjoy it!
