One of my favourite initiatives that seems to be all the rage at the moment are the competitions to Win A House!
If you haven’t seen this yet, basically you buy raffle tickets for a few pounds, answer a question and then go into the drawer to win a house. Yes, it really is as simple as that.
Of course, you do have to get the question right and you also need to cough up the cash first, but I think those are absolutely minor the benefit that you could get at the end.
A mortgage free property, no legal fees it’s the dream. Not only that, but it gives hope to those who may not otherwise be able to get on the property market.
Yes, you may say, well there is only 1 winner in thousands of participants. OK, yes, your chances of winning are slim, but the idea is fabulous, as least you are in with a chance.
I’m all for it, and it is a good way of selling properties when the markets are slowing.
The gambling commission does regulate these competitions heavily, so if there is anything wrong with the competition then you will find that you have your money back sharpish, so you don’t have that risk of entering and losing out when the competition doesn’t happen.
