Think you don’t know enough to become an entrepreneur? I would argue it’s better than university.

Let me burst your bubble. Nothing can prepare you for what’s it’s like to be an entrepreneur.
All my fears about what my day would look like, how I’d feel, how I’d be able to handle clients, have been completely turned on their head.
Yes some days are absolutely terrifying, and sometimes I just have to suck it and see.
Better Than University?
But, something happened recently that completely change my mindset. It suddenly occurred to me that being an entrepreneur and starting a business is like going to university.
At university you have lots of different modules, some you love, some you hate. But, all you’ve just gotta get done and the assignment handed in.
The modules that click, you get A grade results. The ones that don’t, you get something mediocre.
Business v University
It’s like that in business. You learn the ropes through trial and error, you action the task like an assignment and you sit back and wait for the results. The things that don’t work as well as you’d hoped you try again or you look to people who love it and it’s their speciality. Where you succeed you get giddy with excitement.
Like university you are in control of how you spend most of your time. Yes there are actions you’ve got to take like lectures. But, you get your own time to be creative and go live your life.
As you build on your skills, your business improves. You start collecting loads of different module type activities which slot into place to make your business.
Business Graduation
The wonderful thing is that this doesn’t ever have to stop. You keep learning and your business keeps evolving. Your education never has to end, but that certificate that sits on your wall when you get a degree is actually instead that money making business that runs to your standard.
So if you have been worrying that you don’t have enough knowledge to go it alone. Trust me, put that worry to bed and jump straight in. Your entrepreneurial journey will teach you all you need to know. Just make sure to bring your determination.
