The BIGGEST problem in achieving big results is knowing what to do, when to do it and simply just getting started.

I’m always asked ‘how do you do so much? How have you achieved what you have in such a short space of time?’. It actually surprised me to get asked that… I’m a doer and I believe wholeheartedly that you’ve got to try and something will happen. Yes, I do sometimes do things regardless of the results and yes, I’m sometimes disappointed when it doesn’t work out as I hoped it would.

Yet, there is one thing I believe wholeheartedly makes you progress and that’s consistency. If you want something badly enough, and I’m sure you want property success, which is why you are here, then you’ve got to keep going regardless! Every little step adds up to something huge.

Here are my top 10 rules to GETTING IT DONE! Yes, this is the exact strategy I use to propelling my business and property portfolio forward:

  1. Progress not perfection – a motto to live by. Simply try, if it doesn’t fly there is always time to do it again! Remember that your perfect isn’t someone else’s perfect so just give something a go
  2. Small chunks = big gains – don’t try to do everything at once. Break it down and keep at it. I find working on plane journeys, on the train and in short 25 min bursts are when I get most done. That leaves me the rest of my time to have some ‘me time’.
  3. Analyse your results – Always assess what you’ve just done, what works, what doesn’t work and then build on the stuff that works! This is the quickest way of building success.
  4. Write lists + deadlines – set yourself manageable tasks and give yourself deadlines so that you know exactly what you need to do things. Then hold yourself to it, do it! You will be surprised with how much you will get done.
  5. Turn your emails off (I mean exit out of your emails!) – When you are working, don’t let anything get in your way. Turn off all distractions until you GET STUFF DONE and then you can take a peak at everything else!
  6. Ask quality questions – If you are stuck, need help, or simply a second opinion, then make sure you are asking someone with the know how to give you a good answer. Moreover, make sure you ask questions that are going to get you definite answers… develop quality questions.
  7. Review your work – everything is a work in progress. You can revisit anything you work on and go back to it. Actually giving yourself 24 hrs off means you’ve got time to think and cultivate new ideas which you can then pop in the next time you sit down to work on it.
  8. Maintain Faith – Any progress is progress. Any ‘failure’ gives you space to try again and do something differently. Nothing is a waste of time. Eventually you will succeed, there is always a path to amazing results you’ve just got to keep going.
  9. Revisit your goals – whenever you are stuck, feeling demotivated or have lost direction, spend time setting out your goals. Alongside your goals write down why you want to achieve that goal and what it will feel like once you get there. This will give you the motivation, remind you why you started and give you purpose to keep achieving!!
  10. Finally JUST START – Once you’ve started there is no reason to not keep going and you are one step further then you were previously to achieving your goals. The longer you leave it, the longer it will take to achieve. What have you got to loose by staying stuck where you are… time is marching on, make the decision to go with it!

Has this inspired you? Are you ready to get going? You shouldn’t have any reason not to get things done. Take the first step, set yourself between 5-25 mins now and work. Research that property, investigate how much money you can spend on your next property, analyse a deal, find a mortgage.

Daily action will see huge results – trust me, I do this on a daily basis!
